I don’t believe in “damaged” people. I do believe in dynamic people. I do believe that 7 billion people each experience a unique life in their time on earth and that many of these moments can be difficult and transformative in profound ways. And I think that it’s important to acknowledge that every time you begin a relationship with somebody, platonic or otherwise, part of your responsibility is understanding the experiences that have shaped who they are. Never damaged, broken, or ruined. But just changed.
